We hosted our annual Trophy Presentation night and Christmas Party Saturday 6th December. A fantastic evening of celebration for all those who attended the night.

Our 2024-25 Captain, Jim Downing presented National Kidney Federation treasurer, Geoff Downes with a cheque for £2233.47.
Money generously raised by club members during Jim's year as captain. Heworth Golf Club are proud to support this very important charity.
For over 46 years, the National Kidney Federation has served as a dedicated advocate for renal patients. What sets them apart is their unique status as the only national charity that is entirely run by kidney patients for the benefit of kidney patients.
Their commitment to the kidney community is further demonstrated by operating the sole UK Helpline and National Peer Service exclusively dedicated to patients and their families facing kidney conditions.

44 players took part in the Christmas Turkey 4BBB Competition played Sunday 16th November. The day witnessed an outstanding Hole in One by Peter Jones on the 17th Hole. Absolutely brilliant Peter.

Our Greens Team have erected several posts and ropes around our greens. These have been put in place to protect the run off areas and green surrounds. Golfers are not permitted to take golf trolleys inside these roped areas. The ropes and posts must not to be moved in any circumstances.
If your ball comes to rest close to these posts/ropes and this interferes with your intended swing, please take complete, free relief.
You may mark, lift, clean and drop at the nearest point of relief no nearer the hole.

Our November Stableford was the final handicap qualifying competition of the year. The winning score came in division 2 from Billy Forder with 39pts.
Billy also won the first qualifying competition of the season in the April Medal. A great way to start and end the season Billy, congratulations on the win.
The tees have now moved forward to their winter positions and qualifying scores for handicap will resume again on April 1st 2026.
